Tournament Safety is Priority #1
DIBC is keeping apprised of all updates to the Covid-19 pandemic. Health and safety protocols (masks, social distancing, capacity restrictions) will be implemented on an as-needed basis, based on the local conditions for each tournament, and following the Province Health Authorities guidelines. We understand that pandemic conditions can change very rapidly, and we remain committed to tailoring our safety strategies based on what is required and recommended during our tournament season.
Please check back here for up-to-date information regarding Covid-19 protocols.
Provincial Health Order Notices
The use of masks is mandatory and sanitizing stations will be made available throughout the venue. Sanitizing stations will be stocked with supplies, including hand sanitizer and masks.
Proof of Vaccination
At this point in time, and following the safety protocols, we will require that everyone attending the in-person tournament provide proof-of-vaccination (vaccine passport) at the time of check-in.
Vaccination Requirements for Coaches, Supervisors, and Leaders of persons under 22 years of age
According to a provincial health order issued on Oct. 25, an adult must have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine if they are “leading, supervising or assisting with a program for children or youth, whether the program takes place inside or outside.”
The order applies to coaches for outdoor sports like soccer, and to people supervising or leading youth activities including learning, art, drama, and dance for persons under 22 years of age.
