Upcoming 2026 DIBC Provincial Tournament @ BCIT Burnaby Campus

It’s time to register your team for the Provincial Tournament!
This event celebrates creativity, resilience, and innovation, and is a key part of the hands-on, project-based learning experience in Destination Imagination.

We look forward to welcoming teams from all across BC and other affiliates from around the world to compete, have a great time, and showcase their creative solutions to this year’s Team Challenges. As our Affiliate – Provincial Tournament, this is where teams compete for a spot to represent BC at Global Finals. The top two teams per challenge and level will qualify.

Location: BCIT (British Columbia Institute of Technology) – 3700 Willingdon Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G 3H2
Time: 8:30 am- 5:00pm
Date: Saturday, April 11, 2026

Mandatory: Each team is asked to recruit one volunteer to be an appraiser at a tournament.  No previous experience is required, the volunteers will be trained via zoom before the tournament day, and at the day of the tournament to excel in their roles. Morning coffee, refreshments, snacks, and lunch along with a tournament T-Shirt will be provided as a token of our appreciation. 

There will be a videographer and photographers capturing images and footage to create a promotional video for DIBC, as well as content for our social media channels and website. If any of your students prefer not to be included in these images, please let us know.

Registration fees: BC Teams : $80.00 per team/$60.00 per Rising Stars teams.  Non-BC Teams $500 per team. Please register by Sunday, March 22nd, 2026. If your team has any financial concerns regarding tournament registration, please reach out to me. Your team may be eligible for a subsidy. If you need more time to register please let us know ASAP.
