Position: Treasurer

Roles of a Treasurer:

The Treasurer will oversee BCOMA’s budget, financial planning and cash management while limiting risks to the organization. The successful applicant will have previous experience in financial management and will be an integral part of maintaining positive relationships with banks and financial institutions. The Treasurer will work closely with the Board Executive and senior staff to ensure appropriate financial systems have been put in place and are constantly followed. Duties include: handle receipts, banking and account payables / receivables, develop an annual budget and create long-term projections based on needs and upcoming projects, maintain an efficient system of policies that adequately control treasury activities, prepare financial reports and monitor third party activities handling outsourced treasury functions

Position: Board Member with Legal Focus

Board Member with Legal Focus:

The Board Member overseeing Legal will provide advice, oversight, and support on all matters with legal implications.  Duties include, but are not limited to: providing legal oversight and advice on issues and processes which could make the organization legally vulnerable; providing advice to the Board related to sanctions and consent resolutions of citations; and reviewing bylaws, policies, and procedures to ensure best practice and compliance with regulatory bodies and policies.
