It’s time to register your team for the Provincial Tournament! These celebrations of creativity, persistence, and innovation are a key part of the project-based learning that Destination Imagination provides for your students. All teams from across BC are welcome to attend this tournament, regardless of attendance at the regional tournament. This is our Affiliate Tournament, where teams will compete to qualify for Global Finals. The top 2 teams per challenge per level will qualify to attend Global Finals.

Location: Seycove Secondary School – 1204 Caledonia Ave, North Vancouver
Time: 9:00am-4:00pm
*Please note times are subject to change.

Each team is asked to recruit one volunteer to be an appraiser at a tournament. We require a lot of volunteer appraisers for each tournament and the more appraisers we have, the better the experience for the students. We provide in-person and/or online training for volunteer appraisers and we ask that they are available for the entire tournament day.  We provide refreshments and lunch for the appraisers. It is a rewarding and interesting day for the appraisers – they get to see all of the wonderful and innovative work of the student teams. Please note that appraisers cannot have a conflict of interest with any team members. Volunteers can sign-up here.

There will be a videographer capturing content to create a promotional video for DIBC. Please have all participants fill out this media release form and have it signed by a guardian before the day of the tournament. Please email all forms to affiliatedirector@destinationimgaination.ca.

Registration fees: $90.00 per team/$60.00 per Rising Stars teams.  Please register by Friday, March 22nd, 2024. If your team has any financial concerns regarding tournament registration, please reach out to me. Your team may be eligible for a subsidy. If you need more time to register please let us know ASAP.
